Core-spun yarn, also known as composite yarn or covered yarn, is a new kind of yarn made of two or more kinds of fibers. The first core-covered yarn is a short fiber and short fiber core-covered yarn developed with cotton fiber as the skin and polyester staple fiber as the core. New bead wire with polyester wrapped core.
Core-spun yarn is generally made of synthetic fiber filament with good strength and elasticity and spun with cotton, wool, viscose fiber and other short fibers twisted together. Core-spun yarn has the excellent properties of filament yarn and staple fiber. The common core-covering yarn is terylene cotton core-covering yarn, which takes polyester filament as the core yarn and outsources cotton fiber. There is also spandex core-spun yarn, which is made of spandex filament yarn and other fibers. Knitted fabrics or jeans made from this core-spun yarn can stretch and fit comfortably.
Its main purpose is to strengthen the cotton canvas and maintain the water resistance of the cotton fiber expansion when exposed to water. Polyester has tensile, tear and shrinkage resistance when exposed to moisture in the rain. At present, core-covered yarn has developed into many types, which can be summarized into three categories: short fiber and short fiber core-covered yarn, chemical fiber filament and short fiber core-covered yarn, chemical fiber filament and chemical fiber filament core-covered yarn. At present, most core-spun yarn is a kind of special structure core-spun yarn, which is formed by chemical fiber filament as the core yarn and outsourcing various short fibers. Its core yarn commonly used chemical fiber filament polyester filament, nylon filament, spandex filament and so on. Outsourced staple fibers include cotton, polyester, polyester, polyamide, acrylic and wool fibers.
