Introduction: Polyester yarn refers to yarns spun from polyester, which is the fiber made of a class of polymers through spinning. At present, polyester mostly refers to the fibers produced with ethyl phthalate as the raw material. According to the English name of their raw materials, "PET" fibers are abbreviated. It is commonly known as dacron in our country. Usually the so-called "yarn", in fact, refers to the "yarn" and "thread" collectively, in the clothing material science is defined as follows: "yarn" is many short fibers or filament arranged into a approximately parallel state, and along the axial rotation of years, composed of a certain strength and linear density of slender objects; And "thread" is made up of two or more single yarn strands. Yarn is cotton, wool, hemp, chemical fibers elongated and viscose spun into thin strands (usually used as raw materials for weaving), and then cotton, hemp, silk, wool and other thin strands of thin strands, called thread.
1. High strength. Because of its low hygroscopic property, its wet strength is basically the same as that of dry strength. Impact strength is 4 times higher than nylon, 20 times higher than viscose fiber.
2. Good elasticity. The elasticity is close to that of wool, and can recover almost completely. Wrinkle resistance is more than other fibers, that is, the fabric does not wrinkle, good dimensional stability. It is 2 ~ 3 times higher than nylon. Polyester fabric has high strength and resilience, so it is fast, durable and ironing free.
3. Heat resistant polyester is made by melt spinning, the formed fiber can be heated and melted again, belonging to thermoplastic fiber. The melting point of polyester is relatively high, and the specific heat capacity and thermal conductivity are smaller, so the heat resistance and heat insulation of polyester fiber are higher. It's the best in synthetic fibers.
4. Good thermoplasticity, poor fusible resistance. Because of its smooth surface and tight molecular arrangement inside, polyester is a fabric with good heat resistance in synthetic fiber fabric, thermoplastic, can be made into pleated skirts, and pleated. At the same time, polyester fabric has poor melting resistance, and it is easy to form holes when it meets soot and sparks. Therefore, wear should try to avoid contact with cigarette butts, sparks and so on.
